    TEST FEATURES

    POWERKUBE PROFILE

    Using a PowerKube® an athlete will discover: 

    1. Their 5 best techniques
    2. Rank of all techniques tested
    3. Power, speed, and endurance rating
    4. Left to right balance
    5. Performance progress report (retest required)

    LOAD VELOCITY PROFILE

    Using an inertial measurement unit and a landmine barbell punch an athlete will discover: 

    1. Their punching strength over increasing loads
    2. The speed they can strike with at different loads
    3. Their force velocity strengths and weaknesses
    4. Areas for power improvement

    ECCENTRIC UTILISATION RATIO

    Testing two types of squat jumps an athlete will discover: 

    1. Their elastic power potential
    2. Stretch shortening cycle utilisation
    3. Areas for power improvement

    OVERHEAD SQUAT MOBILITY

    With a single overhead squat an athlete will discover: 

    1. Their full body mobility
    2. Areas of restriction and impingement

    ABOUT YOUR COACH

    HAMISH JANSEN

    With over 15 years dedicated to gym training and over two decades mastering multiple martial arts, my passion for functional fitness aims at achieving peak performance across multiple fitness domains simultaneously.

    Currently in the final stages of my Exercise and Sport Science degree, my academic journey harmonises seamlessly with my practical expertise and dedication to physical mastery. 

    This academic pursuit has been instrumental in refining and elevating my programming and testing skills, amplifying my ability to design an effective combat testing system that bridges theory with real-world application.

    Drawing from years of diverse training and academic pursuits, my skill set extends to crafting tailored fitness programmes, conducting specialised fitness testing and implementing sport specific conditioning workouts.

    My goal is simple yet profound: apply exercise science and biomechanical analysis to martial arts, and combat sports. Empowering individuals toward physical and martial mastery.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science (2025 graduation)
    • Bachelor of Information Technology
    • Boxing Australia Level 1 Coaching Certificate
    • 22 Years of Martial Arts and Combat Sport Experience (2 black belts)
    • Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR certificate
    • Current Working with Children Check WCC

    ATHLETE ASSESSMENT

    There are two types of assessments, full, and progress. An athlete must complete a full assessment if it is their first assessment. This allows for a full profile to be created, and personalised training to commence. 

    Progress assessments are shorter and designed to periodically check on the athletes progress. 

    I recommend an assessment schedule based on the level of the athlete.

    • Amateur: 2x Full 2x Progress per year
    • Semi-elite: 3x Full 3x Progress per year
    • Elite/Pro: 4x Full 8x Progress per year
